La noche en blanco is back

The fourth edition of La noche en blanco is arriving on the 19th of September. Once again Madrid will be the gathering ground of an eclectic, contemporary mixture of artistic expressions designed for each of its audience groups and venues. Just like every year, cultural actors in the city of all stripes will join forces to offer their resources in this night of widespread insomnia. And the Madrid night will especially fill up with visitors eager to experience the artistic propositions and rediscover their city. La noche en blanco is a place to let yourself be surprised.

The chief premise of this night is freedom; the city centre frees itself from traffic and the doors to the city’s cultural assets open wide so that all citizens can participate in an event in which art takes centre stage.

In its third edition last year, La noche en blanco gained ground as a major event in Madrid’s cultural life, proving that culture can draw huge crowds. Hundreds of thousands of people participated in the scheduled events. The performing arts, visual arts, music and theatre all joined forces under the common denominator of contemporary creation and the avant-garde.
