Thursday the 17th and Friday the 18th of September

Reflex is a topical analgesic that we apply to our usual lack of time, to the swift coming of any huge cultural celebration likeLa noche en blanco. In this way, for the second year in a row, Reflex will be a space for forging ties, relationships and complicity among all the stakeholders involved in contemporary creation: artists, curators, critics, mediators, gallery owners, cultural programmers, the media, alternative and institutional venues.

Some of the pills prescribed to prepare for La noche en blanco include a visit to the studios of AVAM artists, a visit to venues of contemporary creation that are part of AAIM and a joint celebration put on by the galleries belonging to the Arte Madrid association on the 17th of September. And with the goal of spotlighting the role of Matadero Madrid as a meeting point, a reception will be held for all the artists participating in La noche en blanco and members of the city’s cultural world. This informal gathering will be accompanied by the action Sin Nacción (Nationless) by La Más Bella in conjunction with La Pluma Elektri*k, and with a musical performance by Lasso + Bernalte.

Plus, two of the Reflex actions will feature the slogan of this year’s edition of La noche en blanco, The Gift On the afternoon of the 18th of September, Matadero will host the rehearsal of the action Heal Madrid by Aitor Saraiba and Rafael Doctor in the Legazpi neighborhood and a dialogue between Octavio Zaya, Rafael Doctor and Fernando Sánchez Castillo on the main theme of this year’s Noche en blanco.
